Navi Girl is one! I am not really sure how to explain this girl and how much she means to us. She is a constant reminder that God knows what you need more than you. We were sold on her name because it means “kind to people” and just like Quince being named after food lives up to his name, this girl lives up to hers and then some. She is a joy and a blessing and aside from screaming the first few months of her life, a joyful and sunny curious little thing. Navi, thanks for always being the bright spot in our day. 😘 . . . @coachdboone remind me to read this in a few weeks when she perfects The Quince Screech 😂

It’s his favorite time of the year, friends. Public posts professing how awesome he is. No really he lives for this and making IG stories. He’d love to have a daily live stream, but for now a Bday post will have to do written while we both text each other about the horrors of bedtime. I’m so glad the children who you move mountains for made your day so memorable and whiny. You fill this house with so much joy, so much fun and a strong love for sweet treats. And while this bday celebration was pretty subpar 😂 I do know (thanks to your song this morning) that Big things are going to happen during this 34th year of yours and I’m excited to be along for the ride. Also, the kids have escaped the bedroom and are downstairs coloring. @coachdboone

Yesterday was our first day back. While it could have been way worse, Flynn spent most of the day nagging for a new LEGO Ninjago guy. He spent his day in a cycle of saying I’m bored, me ignoring him, he’d find something to do for short time, return to say bored/need ninjago. I finally caved and spent the $13.99 on a new ninjago last night in hopes today it would provide some relief from the whining. Rookie move. I know. Because in reality there is no distraction or relief from the disappointment of missing cousins and family. A new toy will not treat his soul. As an adult, I often find myself attempting to treat my heart with “things”. Instead of embracing the sadness, I go looking for an often (unhealthy) distraction or relief. And while an occasional peanut butter cup and TV binge may help me destress momentarily, the real peace comes from working through the stress, often best when done outside and moving. So today these rascals can be found cruising in the sun embracing the meltdowns as they come, in the hopes of finding some true peace and not just a short lived band aid fix. #lunchtimeramblings

I am working on living my life “Nola Dorey Style” aka living her best life and not giving two #%*+ about anything but having a good time.

Most of the Boone children clearly expressed how they feel about the Annual Duck Beach Bender coming to a close. 10 cousins in 7 years with another buddy arriving in just a few more months! #notmine #babywatkins Now off to a few more days down the road with Gigi.

Sorry Saranac Lake Friends, but his awesome pump track is not near us. Summer Soccer 2018 Flynn places this ball here because he has a future working for Life Portraits shooting school photos. And Nola who attempted to kiss Flynn during this photo opp and he was none to pleased as it ruined his pose. #flynnandnola

Sometimes it takes your husband (not by choice) taking the three big kids to go play “old man basketball” as Nola calls it for you to pause long enough to reflect on the fact that you’re currently living in your 4th house in less than 3 years. So I figured it was only fitting to write my 4th blog post in three years 😂
